Marshmallow Root Powder is a time-trusted botanical for soothing irritated tissues - from the gut to the skin. Marshmallow Root (also commonly known as white mallow herb) has long been a foundational botanical in many traditional systems, including Western herbalism, Greco-Arabic medicine, and Ayurveda. It was traditionally used to ease sore throats and dry coughs, relieve digestive discomfort, calm irritated guts, bladders, and IBS, and even soothe the skin when applied to wounds, burns, and eczema.
♡ Why we love it: Marshmallow Root is packed with powerful actives like mucilage, flavonoids, phenolic acids, pectin, and starches. These compounds give it the ability to soothe irritated tissues – from the throat and lungs to the stomach and bladder. It's also been found to help with heartburn and urinary discomfort. Best of all, Marshmallow Root is naturally gentle, making it a great choice for those with sensitive stomachs or delicate skin.
