Release disease with Burdock Root. Native to Europe and Asia, Burdock Root has long been used as a “blood purifier” and detoxifier in traditional herbal medicine, most notably in European and Chinese traditions. It was valued for promoting urination and sweating, helping to cleanse the body and ease swelling linked to arthritis, rheumatism, sciatica and lumbago. It also served as a digestive aid, relieving gas, bloating, indigestion and stimulating digestive juices.
♡ Why we love it: Burdock Root remains one of the top botanicals for both internal and external health. This is thanks to its active compounds, including inulin, phenols, flavonoids, lignans and additional components like sterols and tannins. Together, these support gut health and whole-body cleansing, help lower blood sugar and cholesterol, and aid fatty acid metabolism. They also offer liver, bone, and general cellular support.
With regards to skincare, burdock extracts are antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory, making them a natural ally for acne, eczema, psoriasis, and wound healing. Its inulin, tannins and oils also help stimulate hair follicles and support scalp health.
Sizes: 200g, 500g, or 1kg.
