Steep 3-6 pods in warm water for 10 – 15 min – hot infusion

  • Acts as a cathartic
  • Do not use for longer than 10 days. Always remember that constipation is the cause of something else and the cause of this should be sought, and dealt with.
  • Habitual use will cause lazy bowel syndrome.
  • Do not use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
  • Overdose can lead to painful stomach cramps and diarrhea.
  • It can be corrected with 1/4 amount of a stomachic herb like ginger or fennel seeds with the dose.
  • May cause contact dermatitis.
  • Can cause nausea, vomiting, and may lead to inflammation of the gastrointestinal tract.
