Lavender oil is arguably the world's most popular essential oil. It is anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial and an astringent. It is effective on minor skin irritations, mild acne and burns as its antiseptic properties help to speed the healing process. And the scent of lavender is both relaxing and uplifting and offers relief for depression. It is often used to calm anxiety and can help with insomnia. Lavender is a favourite in aromatherapy for these reasons.
Lavender is also an adaptogen essential oil.
Why we love it: lavender is one of the most versatile essential oils available and should be a staple in every home. It has a soothing fragrance and many beneficial skin and therapy properties.
