Mother’s Day DIY Gifting #4 Rejuvenating Facial Roller Blends
Rollers applied to the face help reduce puffiness, increase circulation and the oils inside them can have a multitude of skin benefits depending on which you use. Let’s get out the roller bottles and make some lovely circulation-boosting facial rollers for Mom.
Tissue Oil Facial Rollers
Tissue oils are particularly amazing for skin. Make up your own tissue oil blends in a roll on bottle for a spa-like facial experience.
Carrot seed oil reduces the signs of aging, increases elasticity and has skin cell regeneration properties. It is also used in aromatherapy for stress and anxiety.
Carrot Seed Tissue Blend
5 drops carrot seed essential oil
1-2 drops geranium essential oil
2-3 tsp jojoba oil
1 drop Vitamin E oil
Add the carrot seed and geranium essential oils to the roller bottle and shake gently to mingle. Then top up the rest of the bottle with jojoba oil and the Vitamin E and tilt a few times to fully combine the oils. Pop the cap on tightly and use as needed by gently rolling and massaging into the skin.
Pomegranate seed oil is a rich and nutritious regenerative skin oil. Combined with borage, argan and evening primrose oils, this tissue oil blend is refining and antiaging.
Pomegranate Tissue Blend
Top the roller bottle one quarter of the way up with each oil. Shake gently to help the oils combine. Massage gently all over the face.
Next up is a soothing chamomile gel eye roller.
Soothing Chamomile Under-Eye Roller
4 drops Roman chamomile essential oil
1 tsp xanthan gum gel - see here how to make it
3 - 4 tsp aloe vera gel
2 drops hyaluronic acid (optional)
In a beaker, mix the gel and aloe vera gel together until smooth. Then blend in the chamomile essential oil. Pour the gel solution into your roll on bottle, pop the cap on tightly and use as needed by gently rolling and massaging into the skin under your eye area.
